Abstract:
Goals:
Product & rate determination on 2-methylbut-3-ene-1,2-diol (1,2-DHI) ozonolysis under dry (< 5% RH) conditions.
Summary:
1,2-DHI and cyclohexane (as an OH scrubber) were injected and the bag was mixed and allowed to equilibrate. Ozone was injected over the course of 10 minutes with pulses of mixing air. Ozonolysis was allowed to proceed for ~3.5 hours before instruments were shut off.
